Whole Foods Market Shoppers Can Flex their Giving Muscle to Benefit Special Olympics Hawai‘i
HONOLULU – For three months Whole Foods Market shoppers can turn out their pockets and empty their piggy banks to give the gift of health and fitness to local athletes with intellectual disabilities. Through June 30, 2013, Whole Foods Market Kāhala shoppers can “recycle” their leftover change at check-out to benefit Special Olympics Hawai‘i.
“Our goal is to bring better fitness, nutrition and a healthier lifestyle to our local athletes with intellectual disabilities – many which face real challenges with access to exercise, training and competition opportunities,” said Nancy Bottelo, president and CEO of Special Olympics Hawai‘i. “We are extremely grateful to Whole Foods Market customers for their support that will bring lasting change to the lives of our local athletes.”
