RevoluSun, Hawaii’s leading provider of residential and commercial solar systems, and Surfrider Foundation cleaned up 907 pounds of trash at Sandy Beach on Saturday, July 14.
“We are stoked that we collected more trash than at our previous beach clean ups with RevoluSun,” said Stuart Coleman, Surfrider Foundation Hawaii director. “RevoluSun is a great partner to the Surfrider Foundation, and we are committed to clean energy and clean coastlines.”
For the third year, RevoluSun has partnered with the Surfrider Foundation’s Oahu Chapter for the Sandy Beach cleanup. This year, over 100 volunteers combed the beach removing hundreds of cigarette butts and almost 1000 pounds of debris. All volunteers were rewarded with a free lunch hosted by RevoluSun.
“We’d like to thank everyone who took the time to come out and help us clean Sandy Beach,” added Eric Carlson, RevoluSun principal. “Our partnership with Surfrider is a proud one that gives us the opportunity to continue helping Hawaii’s environment in more ways, complementing our number one passion of providing clean energy.”
The Surfrider Foundation is dedicated to the protection and preservation of our world’s oceans, waves and beaches. Founded in 1984 by a handful of visionary surfers, the Surfrider Foundation now maintains over 60,000 members and 80 chapters across the United States, with international affiliates in Australia, Europe, Japan, Puerto Rico and Brazil.
