See a Jazz Music Demonstration at Two Selected Oahu Libraries | Arts & Culture

Dean Taba, a highly-regarded studio and freelance musician, and a featured performer for the 2012 HSPLS Children’s Summer Reading Program, will present a demonstration of various jazz styles at two selected Oahu public libraries in June. Taba will also provide an overview of what musicians are doing when improvising a solo or accompaniment.
Taba has performed and recorded with a variety of local and national musicians and groups including Jake Shimabukuro, Hiroshima, Dave Koz, and the San Francisco Symphony. See Dean Taba perform various jazz styles at these libraries:

Performances by Taba and other featured artists from the Statewide Cultural Extension Program (SCEP) are jointly-sponsored by the University of Hawaii’s Outreach College, Hawaii State Foundation on Culture and the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.
