The second concert in the series features multiple Na Hoku Hanohano award winner Sean Naauao, who will be performing at the Waterfront Stage on Saturday, July 21 at 5:30 p.m.
Over the many years of his career, Sean Naauao has developed as an artist, composer and producer. As you listen to his body of work, you will find many gems and understand why he richly deserves all the Na Hoku Hanohano awards he's won over the years.
Naauao can't remember a time when music wasn't a part of his life. His career in music encompasses everything, including composing original songs, producing himself and other artists, performing as lead and background singer, bandleader and acting as concert promoter as well as the founder of independent record label Poi Pounder. As a founding member of Manao Company, a band that made a huge impact on the local music scene and is still heard on radio today, Naauao began his legacy of popular hits. His repertoire runs from contemporary Island Music to the heartfelt traditional Hawaiian mele.
This year's remaining summer concert lineup will feature the following artists:
Saturday, July 21 at 5:30 p.m. -- Sean Naauao
Saturday, August 18 at 5:30 p.m. -- Kapena
During the "Sunset Serenade," food, merchandise, and promotional items by participating Hawaii Kai Towne Center merchants will be available in the breezeway near the waterfront stage for your convenience.
