Hawaii Society Of Business Professionals Serves Up ‘Farm To Table’ Panel Of Experts

Farm-to-table talk continues to be popular and for that reason the Hawaii Society of Business Professionals (HSBP) will focus on that issue once again for its February 26 program at the Hawaii Prince Hotel. The panel features an acclaimed chef, a grower of specialty crops and a representative of a farmers market. Moderator is Patti Chang of Feed-The-Hunger Foundation, an organization that makes loans to farmers and small restaurateurs.

“As an island community, we know how important it is to have our food produced locally while also providing the freshest of ingredients for consumers,” said Harvey Rackmil, president of HSBP, a nonprofit whose members represent a variety of Hawaii businesses. “Buying local also keeps the money in our local economy. We look forward to hearing what’s the latest buzz in the farm-to-table movement.”
