Subaru Hawaii Donates $5,000 each to Hawaiian Humane Society and Big Brothers Big Sisters Hawaii

HONOLULU subaruhawaii.com — Subaru Hawaii announced that its “Share the Love” sales event raised $5,000 for Hawaiian Humane Society and $5,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters Hawaii. A check presentation was held yesterday at Servco Subaru Honolulu in Mapunapuna.

 

Across the state, the “Share the Love” sales event donated $35,000 total to six nonprofits:  Big Brothers Big Sisters Hawaii, Hawaiian Humane Society, Maui Humane Society, Kauai Humane Society, Hawaii Wildlife Fund and Hawaii Island Humane Society. The campaign donated $250 for every new vehicle sold by Subaru Hawaii dealers from November 1 to December 31, 2014, up to $30,000.

Servco Announces Lance Ichimura to Lead Servco Auto’s Product Planning & Inventory Division

HONOLULU – servco.com – Servco Pacific Inc. (Servco) today announced that it has appointed Lance Ichimura to the position of Vice President of Product Planning and Inventory for its Automotive division.

In his new position, Ichimura will be responsible for overseeing the ordering and distribution of all Toyota, Lexus and Scion vehicles for the state of Hawaii.  A Servco employee since 1991, Lance has held a number of management positions, most recently as the Vice President of Variable Operations for Servco Auto Waipahu Toyota and Chevrolet.

Ichimura holds a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from the University of Oregon.

Kaiser Permanente Employees Volunteer Statewide During Martin Luther King Jr. Day Of Service

More than one thousand Kaiser Permanente Hawaii physicians, staff and their families participated in community projects statewide in an annual day of service honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Established a decade ago as a company-wide community service tradition, Kaiser Permanente employees spent their holiday not with a “day off,” but a “day on,” volunteering their time and efforts at eight different sites on Oahu, Maui and the Big Island.

“We are proud to continue our annual tradition of honoring the spirit of service on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day,” said Geoffrey Sewell, MD, president and executive medical director of Hawaii Permanente Medical Group. “We feel privileged to be supporting efforts that preserve and benefit the cultural health and wellness of our own communities here in Hawaii.”  

HTDC WELCOMES BEAUMONT TO MANOA INNOVATION CENTER

The High Technology Development Corporation (HTDC) announced today that Beaumont, an industrial design and engineering company, is its newest tenant at the Manoa Innovation Center (MIC). MIC houses some of Hawaii’s top intellectual and physical resources.

Beaumont is a Honolulu-based company that provides industrial design, mechanical engineering, systems architecture and project management services. Beaumont’s projects include developing electronic wearables, semiconductor manufacturing tools, medical devices and electronic medical test equipment. The company is currently managing and developing technology for a project called the Fecal Sludge Omni-Ingestor, an advanced on-site sanitation system designed to improve sanitation and health conditions for 100 million people by 2025.

Kiewit Building Group Inc. Announces 2015 Scholarship Program

Kiewit Building Group Inc., one of Hawaii’s leading general contractors, today issued a call for high school seniors to apply for the 2015 Kiewit Scholarship Program. The program awards three $2,500 scholarships annually to college-bound students interested in studying engineering, architecture or construction management. Since 2007, Kiewit has awarded more than $45,000 in scholarship monies to high school seniors across the state, from public and private schools on Oahu and neighboring islands.
