TIME CHANGE: Waialae Petition delivery APRIL 5, 12pm at City Hall 

 

PLEASE NOTE:

There has been a time change for the Waialae Bike Lane Petition Delivery.  It is now one hour later than previously announced to consolidate the schedule.  The time will now be 12:00pm on April 5, 2012.

Waialae Bike Lane Petition Rally

April 5 12:00PM @ Honolulu Hale

 

The petition in favor of dedicated bike lanes of Waialae has been signed by over 1,000!!! (see petition at http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/waialaebikelanes/).  The petition will be presented to the mayor, city council members, and the heads of relevant city offices on April 5, 2012.  This is also the day the City Council will have a hearing on the Complete Streets ordinance.  This will be an important day to make Waialae a "complete street" and to push forward a City & County-wide policy of making all of our island's streets "complete streets."

12:00PM Rally Assembles at Honolulu Hale

12:15PM Petition Delivery to Mayor's Office, City Council Members' Offices and City Departmental Offices

12:30PM Remarks from Rally organizers, Manago Family, HBL and other supporters

1:00PM Complete Streets Ordinance Hearing
