The following information is provided by the Office of Hawaiian Affairs:

What:                       Protecting sections of road and infrastructure from falling rocks

When:                      Monday, Sept. 17, 2012 – Friday, Oct. 5, 2012

Where:                    Kamiloiki Valley in Hawaii Kai
                                  7142 Makahu’ena Place
                                  Honolulu, HI 96825

DETAILS:                As the owner of property in Hawaii Kai that includes Pahua Heiau, the Office
                                 of Hawaiian Affairs has contracted Janod Construction to help  ensure that
                                 the site does not become the source of any potential rockfall hazard. 
                                 Construction crews will be working to protect the road and infrastructure in 
                                 the area from falling rocks. The hillside construction work is scheduled from
                                 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., beginning Sept. 17. The work is also scheduled to be
                                 completed by Oct. 5.  In addition, traffic and noise inconveniences are
                                 expected.
