Hawaii Kai Towne Center Presents 8th Annual 'Sunset Seranade' Concert Series | Events

Join Hawaii Kai Towne Center for a three-part concert series of beautiful music and breathtaking sunsets with its 8th Annual “Sunset Serenade” Summer Concert Series at the Waterfront Stage. The concerts are sponsored by SushiMan Hawaii Kai and are FREE to the public.

Na Hoku Hanohano award winner Mark Yamanaka kicks off the three-part series with a performance at the Waterfront Stage on Saturday, June 23 at 5:30 p.m.

Yamanaka, a native of Hilo, has been performing Hawaiian music for 20 years. He has performed with many of Hawaii’s celebrated artists, including Kumu Hula Johnny Lum Ho, Na Palapalai, Darren Benitez, and many others.

Yamanaka entered the Hawaiian music scene in November 2010 with the release of his long-awaited debut solo album, “Lei Pua Kenikeni,” which won him four Na Hoku Hanohano Awards: the coveted Album Of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, Song of the Year (“Kaleoonalani”) and Most Promising Artist of the Year. These awards in four categories placed him among Hawaiian music greats Keali‘i Reichel and Willie K.

This year’s summer concert lineup will feature the following artists:

Saturday, June 23 at 5:30 p.m. – Mark Yamanaka Saturday, July 21 at 5:30 p.m. – Sean Na’auao Saturday, August 18 at 5:30 p.m. - Kapena

During the “Sunset Serenade,” food, merchandise, and promotional items by participating Hawaii Kai Towne Center merchants will be available in the breezeway near the waterfront stage for your convenience.

The “Sunset Serenade” Summer Concert Series is FREE and open to all ages. So bring the family and enjoy the entertainment at the Hawaii Kai Towne Center.
