Car plows into Hawaii Kai Long's
HAWAII KAI (HawaiiNewsNow)- An elderly man accidentally drove his Mercedes through a glass window at the Hawaii Kai Long's Thursday morning.
A manager says the car slammed into the store around 9:30 a.m.
No one in the store was injured and the driver refused medical treatment. It took about an hour for crews to push the car out of the store, which remained open to customers.
Police say it appears the driver accidentally hit the gas instead of his brakes.
There is no estimate yet on the cost of property damage. The store manager tells us that it will take a few days to fix.
